Who We Are

We are a small group of ordinary people who come from a variety
of national backgrounds, family situations, ages, and from very different life experiences. The one thing we have in common is an extraordinary experience of God's work of grace in our lives. We have come to know Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Saviour and we seek to share the Good News of His salvation with others.

We are an Independent Reformed Baptist Church, founded in 1991 in the Penilee area of south west Glasgow, originally meeting at Sandwood Primary School.
Since 2002 the church has been meeting in its present building worshipping and witnessing in the area of Govan two miles south of Glasgow city centre.

The doctrinal basis of our church is the
1689 BAPTIST CONFESSION OF FAITH.

Our services are simple in format seeking through sincere, reverent and joyful worship to glorify the God of our salvation. Visitors of all ages, backgrounds and experience are welcome to any of our services. You do not have to dress in a particular way. And whilst you will be made welcome no-one will be seeking to "put you on the spot" in any way.

Children are very welcome to join with us for the Sunday services, and a children's talk is included in the morning worship. A creche facility is available for the very young during the sermon, but please speak to the person on the door on arrival if you need this facility, as this is not required every week.

As a church, we have covenanted together to hold to the Lord and to one another, and to walk in the fear of the Lord; to submit ourselves to the rule of the Lord Jesus Christ, and to the elders he has given to his church; to work and pray for the advance Christ's Kingdom; to promote the unity and peace of his church; to exhort, love and edify one another.

By these means we seek to glorify the God of the Scriptures in promoting His worship, evangelising sinners, edifying saints, supporting Christian mission, and showing benevolence to the needy. We are committed to the proclamation of God's perfect law and the glorious gospel of His grace throughout the world and to the defence of the faith once delivered to the saints.
